About Cedar City

Cedar City, Utah also known as Festival City USA is located in the foothills of Southwestern Utah along the Interstate 15 corridor. This scenic growing community has an approximate population of 37,000 people.

The growth rates have been pretty impressive for the past half decade. The divistiy of those moving into the area is a mix of young families just starting out to those in their "Golden Years" who have chose the prestine setting here in the Southwest.

Cedar City is the Gateway to the National Parks with both Zion National Park and Bryce Canyon National Park within only an hour and-a-half driving distance. Cedar Breaks National Monument is just over a half-hour drive located on the western edge of the 10,400-foot-high Markagunt plateau. Cedar Breaks plummets 2,500 feet and opens up three miles of the green alpine meadows to expose sundry shades of red, purple and yellow through the limestone rock formations.

Cedar City, also known as Festival City, USA, is an energetic and cultured community, with the Tony Award Winning Utah Shakespearean Festival, Southern Utah University, Utah Summer Games, Neil Simon Festival, and a myriad of festivals and street fairs. Cedar City is a playground of excitement in the fall and winter months with Brian Head Ski Resort only a forty-five minute drive away. Entertainment during this time of year abounds with plays and musicals performed by Southern Utah University, world renowned performances sponsored by the Cedar City Music Arts Association and NCAA athletics.

Industry is booming with National and local vendors. Fort Cedar Commerce Center and Port 15 Utah are just a couple of the industrial and commerce parks making the news. With a rail road spur and Cedar City's Regional Airport boasting of being the 2nd largest commercial airport in the state the stage is being set for some very dynamic growth.
